To my beloved Earth

I love your hairy body
of grass and leaves
I love your dirty skin
of mud and soil
I love your waters
deep and flowing
I love your voice
of winds and waves
I love your smell of animals
and bird laughter
I love your thunders and eruptions,
your storms, and gentle rains
I love to see you changing seasons
like trending coats
I love your wild sexuality
And soft innocence
I love your motherly hugs
and fatherly advice
I love your scars and wrinkles
Your crooked eyes and sharp teeth
I love your gentle infant’s skin
And toothless drooling mouth
I love to be your lover
To kiss and caress you
To touch you with my body
And be a part of you
You are a witch and wizard
You carry death and life
And I am here your midwife
To deliver both with a smile.
